i remember like it was yesterday ,i was working in winchester ,left in the morning ,maria phoned me at 11am said she was going in ,i had the harley bike ,when i got there ,they told me they would induce her ,they called me in the room ,i went in ,just 4 women in there ,any way i lasted about 3 mins had to come out ,the family doctor came past me ,dr warring ,went in few minutes later i was just going back in when i heard Elt ,he was here ,the doctor gave maria 4 stitches,and we had our Elt ,mercy was over from spain maria's sister ,remember walking home with mercy smiling,maria looked great ,Elt was wonderful ,and i was a dad.just a really nice day. not many days in a mans life you feel like this ,i think when i got home i must have phoned every number i had .the next morning i had to be in winchester at 7am ,so i went to the hospital 1st ,got there at 5am ,i walked in and there was maria a mother feeding Elt ,just so nice to see ,i took Elt 1st photo,will put it on here later ,maria said the nurses are going to take Elt away later ,there is some thing wrong ,oh shit whats this ,i went running around to find the doctor ,too early ,ran in to the nurse, maria's upset whats up ,she said Elts got a clicker hip ,well whats that ,whats that mean ,she said its nothing its just that you put on 2 nappies for a few weeks ,she said Elt at 7lbs 14 3/4 length 20 1/2 inc head 14 inc chest 15 1/2 was just a bit big for maria ,so that was fine then ,went back told maria ,she was still feeding Elt ,and did so for the next 8 months ,so both were happy both beautiful mercy was coming up at 10am ,so i went to work ,bounced around all day ,but left early ,i was back at the hospital at 4pm .such such a great time ,as only a dad would know.
